Bye Mrs. Jankowski! This class was way too early in the morning for me sometimes but you were always wide awake and so positive. I hope you are doing well, as well as your family.
P.S. Tell Ozzy, Alex says hi.
Cool! Ozzy says they have 2 classes together!
Bye Mrs. Jankowski. I'm gonna miss you getting upset when I would bring in McDonalds drinks in the morning. I really enjoyed your teaching style of working in groups, and the circle where we all had to contribute. I'll miss the early morning jolly ranchers or life savers for getting a question right. Thank you for putting up with me in class! Hope you and your family stays safe.
That made me laugh!!
Goodbye, Mrs. Jankowski. In the beginning of the year, your class was tough I have to say, but when I actually got into the class it was a lot more fun than doing it from home. I actually had a lot of fun this year, even though I didn't seem like it most times. But I'm glad to have learned new ways to write and I'll miss getting into that circle group over a book. I hope you and your family are doing well.
I’m so glad you were able to get back in there & join us!
Goodbyes have always been bitter sweet. It may cause you sadness to see this senior class leave in such a way but know that you have made each and everyone of your students smarter. You are the best english teacher that I could have asked for. Make sure you having a good time teaching the next senior class. Hope all goes well for you.
I turn into a ball of goo saying goodbye to you guys!
I have had so many great experiences in your class. You've been a great teacher and I thank you for everything! I hope to see you around again at some point. Goodbye!
Thank you, Peyton! I’ll miss your shy little grin & creativity.
Goodbye, Mrs. Jankowski! I appreciate everything you have done for me. This year has been a tough year for me with having to decide on if I should skip my swim season to get surgery or not. After you told me your experience with your shoulder and what you would do in my situation, it was much easier to choose what to do. I am forever thankful for this. You helped me realize to think about long term rather than in the moment. While due to doing so I was unable to do either of my sports now I will be 100% ready for my freshman college season.
Oh- I’m glad you told me that! You’ll be glad in the long run!
Goodbye Mrs. Jankowski! Thank you for everything you have done with getting me prepared for college. Also, thank you for always checking on me whenever I would have an alarm go off in class due to my blood sugar being out of whack.
Hope that your family and you are staying safe!
I still remember the bag of Starbursts your mom gave me for you sophomore year. I was always tempted to eat them, but I never did. :)
Goodbye Mrs.J, after taking four years of classes your class is the only class that always went by so quickly. Thank you for helping me last semester with student council and for understanding me when I was completely broken down. You will never understand how grateful I am for you leading the way for me when I was ready to give up. I'm still excited to read Frankenstein to Penelope and I'll be sure to let you know what we thought of it.
I hope you and the fam bam are staying safe!
Frankenstein has a slow start, but stick with it, the middle is so good! Penelope will love hearing the passionate story of the monster. So good! Thanks for sharing that with me. It’s good to hear it helped you. :)
Wish you the best Mrs. J. It was great having Mr. and Mrs Jankowski through high school. Thank you for letting me revamp my website for my senior project and allowing me to come in your homeroom so much during enrichment. Best of luck through your teaching years!
I expect to see you on Shark Tank some day as a billionaire entrepreneur. :)
I hope you have a good summer and you and your family stay safe. I honestly am not a morning person so most class periods with you I probably looked annoyed and angry so I apologize. Thank you for teaching me in my last year of high school!
Hahaha! That’s about right. :)
Your class may not have been my favorite. But i made a lot of good memories in there that I will never forget. I hope you and your family have fun on all your hiking trips. I hope y'all are staying safe. Good luck on the rest of your life. It was fun. One last thing. I guess you could say we were all here for a good time not a long time.
I know that, but you always gave a 100% solid effort and I respect that!
Thanks for everything Mrs. J! I appreciate the effort and time you put in to better our education. I can say that I have came out a better English student from being in your class. You balanced hard work with giving us opportunities to have fun which made class enjoyable.
We tried to make it fun. :)
Thank you for all your help and encouragement my last year. I grew to like the way you teach and how you switch it up so it is not the same thing everyday. I hope you and your family stay safe!
Good luck to you!!
I’m proud of how much you’ve grown.
Instead of saying goodbye i'm jsut going to say see you soon. I just want to thank you for everyting that you have done for me, having the patience to actually sit down ad explai the stuff that I didn't understand. Thank you for sitting down with me when you could tell in my face that I was not having a good day and you would talk with me. I can't thank you enough Mrs. J!!
I'm going to miss having you class and all the laughs that we had in there.
Miss you Kaeleigh Hart
:) that 4th period class was a ton of fun!
Dear Mrs. J,
You were my homeroom teacher Junior year. I have grown up in your class. You have gave me some very good advice over the pass couple of years. I have had personal conversations with you. A lot has happened in my life since Junior year and you were there if I ever needed to talk to someone. Thank you for always pushing me and being there for me. I went through a very hard time in my life this year and I actually looked forward to your class to try and forget about what was going on in my own life. Thank you for everything you have done for me, personally and educationally. You will always be a person I can count on, and always someone who pushed me in my High school career.
Thank you for being there for me, Love Baylee Lynn
Thank you for that. Make me cry... ;)
I hope you have a good summer! your class always had me laughing, my favorite work we did was the satire. thank you for always working with our schedules, its nice to have a teacher who understands we have things like work or sports outside of the classroom. Thank you !!
I loved your satire. You were so good at it! There is some really funny Covid satire out there right now. ClickHole’s website has been pretty funny. Stay safe.
Babylon Bee- not clickhole.
Goodbye Mrs. J. i learned more in your English class than i have in any of my other ones over the years. Thank you for always having a positive attitude and being full of energy despite anything you were going through. You put us first and that is uncommon with teachers it truly shows you love what you do and you're great at it. I hope next years classes appreciate all that you do for them.
Thanks, Baylee! I’m so glad I got to have you again. You really opened up and I got to see your fun personality.
I've never been good at goodbyes- they really aren't my thing, but its about that time.. Goodbye Mrs. J. You've taught me so much. As much as I hated how harshly you grade sometimes, it has truly helped me improve my work over the year. English has always been my favorite subject, and having a teacher that is honest about what I needed to work and improve on helped so much. Not to mention, you were supportive and, willing to work with me when something came up and I wasn't able to get something in on time. That was greatly appreciate. So, thank you. For everything you've done for me this year.
I’m proud of you! You’ve grown a lot this year. I push you because I care, and now you are ready for the real world. :)
Wow, can't believe this is already over. Sorry our time in your class had to be cut short and I wanna tell you I was looking forward to discussing "Frankenstein" with you, I enjoyed the discussions we had about "Into the Wild" and Chris's mental state. Thank you for being patient with me when the workload I had on my shoulders was starting to stress me out. One thing I really loved about your class was when we got into a circle and discussed the chapter of the book we were supposed to read, I hope you didn't mind how many times I was in that circle but I'm a girl with many thoughts that need to be shared in the class! Guess this is goodbye, make sure you stay safe and enjoy your time in this epidemic. I really wished I could have had your class for a little longer, but I'm glad I was in it for as long as I could. Please take care and thank you.
Socratic Seminars- and you were the best! I love the energy & perspective you brought to discussion. I’m sad we don’t get to talk about Frankenstein too- it’s a deeply psychological book! Stay safe.
Goodbye. You were very easy to work with. I'm excited to hear about how your trip to Alaska goes.
...if we get to go....not looking good. Thanks
Mrs J, Thank you for being you. Your attitude in class always brightened my day no matter how extra you may have been that early in the morning. It kept our class going and really showed who you are as a person. Keep being you and making everyone smile with your cheesy jokes! You have inspired me to look deeper into what I want for my future. Your class is one I won't forget. Thank you for everything.
Oh I can be extra alright.... hahaha! Thank you. Poor Ozzy is stuck with my corny jokes for now.
I'm going to keep it short and sweet. Thanks for everything you do as a teacher and the sacrifices you make. Adios.
Adios, Jack. I still like your black out poem!
I really enjoyed English this year!! I know I'm not the best at English and I talk a lot, but this was a fun class. I hope you have a good summer and get to go to Alaska eventually!
Sean- I still always think of walking down the hallway every morning ignoring me until I realized you had ear buds in! :) You ARE good at English. Have a bit more confidence in yourself. :)
Bye Mrs. Jankowski! Since I'm graduating a year early I was taking both English 12A and English 11A. You were so understanding and you made it really easy to do both classes this year. You also taught me a lot about my writing structure and how to improve on it. Thank you for a great year!
I’m so proud of your double duty! I always thought of you like the mature senior you are. You’ll be a fabulous teacher!
Goodbye Mrs.J, thanks for putting up with my class. I know we were a handful sometimes but that always made it interesting. Out of all the English teachers I had at reitz you were the best. Have a fun time in Alaska if you get to go!
4th period was always an adventure!
I am so blessed to have been able to have you as a teacher not once but twice! I think I would have to say I learned the most in your Advanced Comp and Novels class my sophomore year than in any other class. You encouraged me and helped me so much with my writing, and I am so thankful for that. I'm sad that I won't have you as a teacher anymore, but I hope you will get to have my sister Ashley! I will miss you!
That was a great class. I’ll look for you in the neighborhood. I hope to get little Danks!
Firstly, thank you for being so upbeat and encouraging and willing to relate to us students so early in the mornings because it's something that you don't have to do at all, and I know some days it might've been hard to keep that energy up. Thank you for going off the beaten path an teaching us small life lessons or just little fun facts that are cool to know instead of just sticking strictly to the standards and lesson plans - though a lot of students may have been indifferent towards information that won't help them on their next assignments, there were some who enjoyed the occasional little tangents we could break off into, myself included. Most importantly, thank you for doing your best to offer as much guidance and real-life experience as possible to help us in this next chapter we are so close to starting (and in my case, thank you for taking such great care of me and sharing some really eye-opening advice with me on THAT day just before school let out, you know the one). I'm going to miss our 4th period ensemble and the companionship and solidarity and jokes we shared throughout this year. Thanks for everything and take care.
I remember THAT one, and I'm glad I was able to help. You are a phenomenal writer and I hope you use that creativity somehow as a career. Remember to speak up because you have such a great perspective to share.
This makes me so sad. You are one of my favorite teachers and definitely my favorite English teacher by far. You have thought me so much and pushed me to be better in all of the right places. I have never been so fascinated with English and excited to learn than the past two years with you. I am going to miss you so much and I hope all is well in the years to come. It feels surreal that high school is ending soon and our last physical day was over a month ago now.
Thanks for that! I feel like you are my adopted daughter after all our time together over the past 2 years. You have grown so much and I am very proud of you!
Bye Mrs. J, thank you for bring the same energy to class everyday and dealing with my loud, energetic self.
Sean! I need a Sean in every morning class! I loved the energy and I think we are all better for it. :)
Goodbye, Mrs. J. I apologize for our not so smooth relationship in homeroom sophomore year. Thank you for not sending me to the office more times than you did and for being patient with me in class. I appreciate all of the love and energy that you would bring to any class i was with you in! I hope you have a great rest of your teaching career and a safe journey through this pandemic. <3
Oh, that's too funny! It was those earbuds..... lol.
I always knew you were a great young man, you just liked to act otherwise sometimes. :)
Goodbye Mrs.J, I wan to thank you for your constant understanding with what my family has gone through throughout this year. Thank you for allowing Julia to bring me my work and thank you for caring for my well being. I'm going to miss how quick your classes always seemed to be and all of my classmates.
Reed- you have had to deal with so much this year. I'm impressed with your attitude and maturity through some tough times. Take care of your family and you will go far!
I don't really like goodbyes, but sadly it seems that they are a part of life and I'll just have to get used to them. I will miss sitting by the door in the morning waiting to get into your classroom(couple minutes to catch some Z's), the occasional tasks like getting a shopping cart from the library and walking around the school with it trying to get it up to the third floor, and the pre-class discussions as well. It's sad that goodbyes could not be done in person, but the best I can do like this is say goodbye Mrs. Jankowski, and that I hope you have a awesome time in Alaska. =^)
Thanks Nathan! I will miss our before school talks as well. It was nice coming around the corner and seeing you (snoozing) and waiting for me every morning. :) Don't burn down the house....or Mr. J will show up! lol
Bye, Mrs.J, Im so happy that I got have you as my teacher twice throughout high school. I loved our small sophomore class, I feel like that was the year I learned the most in english I ever have. Thank you for making me feel like if I ever had a problem with a grade I could always come to you and you would help me as much as you could, and helping me with anything I had to write whether it be for your class or not. I feel like you are one of thew few teachers who actually care about us actually gaining knowledge in your class rather than just meeting the standards.
I loved that little sophomore class! I'm so glad I got to have you twice. Good luck as a fashion icon!
Bye Mrs. J, thank you for being so encouraging and uplifting in the classroom. I always looked forward to your class because of your energy. You always pushed all your students to be the best they could be and it means so much. :)
Thank you A'nna! It's so quiet around the house; I'm ready for some energetic classes right now. Good luck in all you do.
Goodbye Mrs. Jankowski, thank you for all of your help this year with my never ending questions. My fourth period in semester one was a handful but you always kept us under control. The switch to the 2nd period was rough for me but you never skipped a beat. Thanks for always staying uplifting and energized wether it be afternoon or morning. I hope your family has a good summer!
Colton- the gentle giant! I think I got to know you a bit more in the smaller class. You certainly did a great job with the transition and really worked hard. You have a great summer too.
Thank you for all advice you have given me the past year and for always pushing me out of my comfort zone with my writings. I hope you have many new and exciting adventures to come with you and your family!
:) thank you
Bye Mrs. J! I have no idea how you have so much energy first thing in the morning, but I wish i had it. I can honestly say that I have never been bored in your class. Something was different every day, it could have been a change in desk arrangements, or you could of had us working with someone we would have never talked to otherwise. Your class always woke me up and got me ready for the rest of the day. And I hope you always keep your energetic and optimistic attitude in the classroom.
Goodbye! Even though I only had you for less than a year, I saw that you were a good teacher. I loved your enthusiasm you brought to class and I hope you and your family stay safe!
McKenna- you are so talented and creative. I hope you use those to society's benefit in your future. :)
Goodbye Mrs. J, thank you for always trying to push me to be the best that I can be. I know that I am a little stubborn but I appreciate all that you did for me.
:) I'm proud of you for speaking. I know that made you uncomfortable, but you did a good job.
Goodbye Mrs J. Although I have never like english, you pushed me and the whole class to become better at reading, annotating, and writing. Eventhough I never wanted to go to english class, you were invested into the school work and students so the class was actually enjoyable and went by fast because we were constantly busy. There are multiple memories in that class I wont forget and my friends that were in it made it better. You always kept a positive attitude which is hard to do and reawrded students for the hard work.
Carson- that means a lot from you. I know English isn't your favorite, but thanks for making class energetic.
Mrs. J, I thank you for pushing me my hardest when I was at my lowest and caring for me even though I'm a pain in class. Hope you have a good summer!
Elise- you were never a pain. I like your fiesty personality. :)
Bye Mrs. J, Thank you for helping me through out the year even though we had our differences. Couldn't of made it without your help.
Fairwell Mrs. J. First I want to thank you for all of your hard work and support for all of us students and for putting up with everyone's crap throughout the year (I know we were a tough group). I hope our discussion about you and your kids worked out for the best hahaa and I also wish you and your family a good future of health and happiness. I will miss your enthusiasm in class everyday and hope my college professors will care as much as you do. Thank you again!
Jaden- You are welcome! And your group was a DELIGHT! :)
Aloha Mrs. Jankowski. Aloha means hello and goodbye, therefore a greeting and a farewell. I realize I must have looked coldly at you and other teachers at the start, going off what others had to say, but as we progressed through the school year I realized that you guys were trying too. I know I don't particularly enjoy english writing myself, but I do love to read. Whether it be outloud, acting out a play, or just to myself. I love having stories play out in my head or learning something new. I am very grateful for you allowing me to sit next friends. I don't really make new friends easily, and those switch ups with the seating chart didn't really help. But they do give access to other views of the classroom where I can look at subjects from a different perspective.
I used aloha as a greeting, but it must be used for as a goodbye. I hope you have a great vacation in Alaska away from all this school chaos.
Alex- That's good to hear. It helps me get better. :)
Goodbye Mrs. J!
Goodbye Mrs.J thank you for always putting up with my smart remarks and not taking what I say seriously. Thank you for helping me see what I am capable of and making me go up front and get out of my comfort zone. It was always a good time getting to see who I was going to trigger everyday in your class it is for sure something I will never forget.
(P.S.) tell Mr.J sorry about the wait for OGP your last order the system was down and we were short staffed.
Always entertaining, that's for sure! Good luck with the mullet. Keep me posted on its progress. Don't forget to be socially appropriate. haha
See you at Walmart!
Oh my goodness, I was hoping this day wouldn't come. I've had you for two years now and although I dreaded bi-weekly essays, and everything else last year, I'm so thankful for them! We thought it wasn't fair for us to write essays so often when the other classes weren't, but my skills improved so much which has helped me in scholarship and college essays! This year I was so thankful for that because that class was too early for me, but it was a repeat sometimes which was helpful for my sanity. You were so understanding when I found out I was narcoleptic and with me missing school due to migraines so often. I'm really bad at goodbyes, so you'll see me again sometime in the future. You can't get rid of me this easily. Goodbye for now Mrs. J! I'll see you soon!
Emily Jarvis <3
Emily- If you ever need anything, let me know. I'm so proud of how far you've come and I'm glad I got to know that you aren't as quiet as you seem. :)
Bye Mrs. Jankowski, I would like to thank you for putting up with me this year and helping me and pushing me even when I didnt want to be pushed.
Bye Daniel. Make sure to always show people your good side. :)
It's been a great year and I'm thankful for you for always pushing all of us to do our best and it was nice how our class was your therapy class for your son. Hope everything is swell and that you have loosened up on ozzy because that is all a growing teen wants. Also, since I'm going to Ball State you can tell me all the tips and tricks of that place.
Chirp, chirp!!!! Yay!! That’s great to hear. You will love it!
Goodbye Mrs. J, have a good summer.
You too, Wade!
Goodbye Mrs. Jankowski, I want to thank you for being a great teacher for the short time I was in your class. Thank you for being supportive and understanding through these times and before. I wish you many good years of teaching and that you and your family stay healthy. Goodbye!!
I'm glad I got to have you in class. Stay independent & creative.
Hi Mrs. J! I hope you're handling this well I know I definitely have cabin fever. Thank you for putting up with my absentmindedness all year and being such an amazing teacher. I know that it's not an easy job and even though being your first class of the day had me coming in tired every day your enthusiasm made my day. I can't wait to see what the future holds for each of us!
Ryder- Absentminded? No! I'll remember you as incredibly insightful and mature. You always think deeply and critically. I'm proud of you.
I'm not going to lie, you were a hard pill to swallow at first. Me and you may have had a couple differences just about me either laughing or talking literally all of the time and me being on my phone a lot. But, as the year went on I started to realize how actually nice and funny you were most of the time so I grew to like you so much. Whenever I was trying to get caught back up on everything after the concussion and was clearly stressed out, we talked it over and we worked it out and you doing that just showed how much you really cared about us. And for that, I am grateful that I had you for my last year of high school english. So thank you for making my last year on the hill not as sad or terrible as it could've been. I'll miss you Mrs. J.
I appreciate your honesty. :) It's funny to hear you say that about the beginning of the year. I'm sorry it took that long to figure each other out because you are delightful in every way. :)
Goodbye Mrs. Jankowski, thank you for your extreme commitment to your job and always being so supportive! I really appreciate all the work you put into making our work easier. Thank you for also trying to be different than most teachers rather than being boring and plain.
That's the best compliment a teacher can get. :) thanks
Bye Mrs. Jankowski thank you for always wanting to help us learn throughout this school year, and I hope you continue to do so for other students
Thanks, Tyler! You did a great job and I'm proud of all your hard work. I know I pushed you quite a bit.
Goodbye Mrs. Jankowski, hope your future students are cooperative!
Mr. Jourdan...not pronounced Jordan! I'll finally remember. haha
I enjoyed your viewpoints and creative ways of thinking about situations. I hope you find a way to harness that creativity for good. Take care!
Bye Mrs Jankowski, Your class wasnt always my favorite but thank you for always coming to class with energy and excitement to make any and every student better. Im sure you will miss sending me to my locker everyday cause of a hoodie just as much as me.
I figured surely you would tire of traipsing to your locker every morning and remember...but you never did. :)
I'm sorry you can't wear sport stuff, but it is what it is. Good luck to you!
Goodbye Mrs. J, thanks for being a great teacher and always keeping a happy attitude. Hope you have a great summer and trip if you get to go!
You made it! Done!!!
Goodbye Mrs. J, I thank you for another great year. I appreciate your enthusiasm in the class room, it helped catch my attention most of the time and the class was always a good one. Have a good summer break and stay safe!
Thanks, Leivin. You too.
You are a great teacher, who works there hardest even though some students would not behave. Thank you for making this year of school great even though things didn't go out the way you planned.
Aric- another Wiseman that did not disappoint. I'm glad I got to have you, even if it was such a short time. Say hi to the family for me.
Thank you for being a top notch teacher as well as helping me in the classroom when other aspects of life were holding me down. I hope you continue shaping the countless students to come into the adults they aspire to be.
Thank you , Jakob! That was very nice. I'm really glad I got to know you better as the year went on. You are a high quality young man.
Goodbye's are always bittersweet to me. I am thankful to have you as my senior English teacher, and grateful to be able to know you. Thank you for always pushing us to do our best, but being there to catch us when we fall. Though my class was a little too early in the morning, I'm thankful for all of the memories made in your classroom, lol. I hope you have a great summer break and enjoy your next class of seniors, and I wish you the best in life!
Holly- I'm proud of how you handled a difficult situation this year. You are very mature for your age because of it. Thanks for all the Panera goodies. I know everyone loved it.
I am not really good at the whole goodbye thing yet, but here is an attempt, well this year has been interesting, I did have a good time in class, definitely when we did the play, but having the year cut short like this is not fun, so I hope that everyone can rebound from this year to have a successful future.
Alex- I enjoyed your eager attitude and willingness to participate. You will go far in the sports world. :) Good luck!
Bye Mrs. Jankowski! Thanks for all the Discussion/debates,I'll miss them. Hope you have a good year next year ! :)
You were a great person to have on hand in a debate!
Dear Ms. Jankowski
The school year has come to a close, and I, for one, am sorry to see it end. I really enjoyed my time in your class this year, and I know you have given me an invaluable amount of knowledge in english.
I know it must be difficult teaching the same thing over and over, but you find a way to make it interesting, and I along with the rest of your students appreciate that. I know I have benefited from being in your classroom, and I will now be able to take the information you have given me and move forward with my studies, capably and confidently.
I wish you the best of luck with all your future classes.
I really think highly of you Ja ‘Shaun, and I know you will make us all proud with your path in life. Set high goals and don’t settle for less than your best effort. :). Keep me posted on how you are. J
Well Mrs. J I wasn't in your class much but you were cool a lot of the times I was so thanks for that. Have a good one and be safe.
Hey Mrs. J it was a GREAT year!! I had a blast doing the group projects and having our discussions in class together. I will always appreciate you helping me on assignments and working with me. You were the easiest to talk to and ask for assistance. You were easy to approach and always did your best to make class enjoyable.. I will miss English 12 A quite a bit because of how special you made it, it's a shame that it had to end the way it did. I hope everything is well and that this all blows over soon!
