celebrities mental health should really be prioritized more. it is a serious issue, and is diving some celebrities to the brink of suicide. we need to start by introducing more laws for privacy and then work from there.
I think that celebrities should have their privacy just like a normal personal life . But on the other hand maybe some of the celebrities would not be famous without the people watching every move that they make in their everyday life. But everyone deserves to go through struggles in their life without everyone knowing about them.
Celebrates should have to be protected to a certain extent. When they are home and not "at the workplace" they should be able to not have to worry about everyone knowing everything they do. What I do at home I don't tell the whole world because not everyone needs to know everything you do. People are so obsessed with celebrates that they care about their lives more than there own lives. Put your feet in their shoes and you will see the negative side of being in the "spot light" constantly.
There should be enough protection for celebrities to enjoy life privately. There will always be fans wanting to approach a celebrity, but when there is criticism, ridiculing questions, exposure of their personal life, and a camera involved, there can be devastating effects on that celebrities mental state. The constant negativity will only bring them to an unhealthy state of mind, which usually causes them to act with self destruction.
Celebrities shouldn't have to be worrying about people constantly harassing them and taking non stop pictures of them. The celebrities who have mental issues should have more protection due to the illness. Media is always causing problems with blowing things out of proportion or putting stuff on tv that should not be aired. People who are losing it over something on social media do not instantly have a mental illness because they did so. Its also wrong to assume someone has a mental illness just because you think they're acting differently or odd.
I believe people should be able to document or record anything they want because of America's freedom of press. As long as people are not recording people on their private property they should be able to do what they want. I also believe that constantly being observed or documented is part of the job when you are a celebrity.
IN todays world all celebrities should have all of the privacy protection they want. In todays world being able to meet or see a celeberty can mean alot to someone, but for the celeberty they might not think the same. Most of the time a celeberty would like that attention that other people give them, but everyonce in a while they like to have their privacy. This is where a privacy protection should come in play. The protection should happen whenever the celeberty wants it because its their own life and they should live it; not other people.
Celebrities put themselves out in the world on their own free will making their own lives public for everyone's viewing. When mental health comes to play, it is yet another thing that celebrities chose to let be judged by anyone and everyone. In Demi Lavato's case, she is a well known singer songwriter who has also appeared in many children's movie such as camp rock. She put herself out there as a positive influence for young girls out there and has publicly spoken about being a role model. When she overdosed on one of America's most deadly drugs (heroine), what message was she sending to the public and to the people who look up at her. I don't think she should be bullied but she most definitely should be ridiculed for her decision making mental health issue or not. The same goes for other celebrities. If they believe that there is a privacy issue and mental health threat then they shouldn't be doing what they do. No one forced them to have that career.
In order to protect celebrities we should have some paparazzi laws set into place; laws that allow people to take pictures of the celebrity with the celebrities consent. Paparazzi consenting laws would really help make things much calmer for the celebrities with mental health conditions. Celebrities cant expect to go under the radar everywhere they go so they should expect to have at least a few people ask for their consent.
The private lives of celebrities should be protected by educating the media and others on mental health. The media is the primary source of the headlines that catch our attention about celebrities. Jenn Brandel, a social worker that the article mentions, believes that media training could benefit the public and the news we receive. Mental illness should not automatically be presumed as the reason celebrities have these episodes. We should not turn celebrities' darkest moments into entertainment as well.
Celebrities should be able to have all of the privacy they desire in their day to day lives. Just because some celebrities might have mental illnesses doesn't mean that they should be criticized, have it blasted on social media, or exposed to the public. Celebrities should have protections like security everywhere they go. Some celebrities roam freely and people get pictures or dirt on them for just being out.
In today's world celebrities should have lots of private life protections for the simple reason that were all human. Too many people these days are so interested in everyone else that we forget about or even downgrade ourselves as humans. Everyone was created equal that includes the celebrities and higher class people as well. They have just as much as a right as you do to keep things quite and especially something negative or a event they might be struggling with. This should include unwanted photos and videos the should include medical issues or personal family situations and even just writing about things they don't approve of.
I believe that all celebrities lives should be off limits. I say this because yes they're celebrities, yes they're famous but they're human just like us. They deserve and want the privacy every individual receives. Just because they're famous, they are still human.
There can't really be any protections for the private lives of celebrities in today's world. They devote there lives to fame and being documented. There's really not much protection you can have while being a celebrity. The consequences of being a celebrity is that you won't have a private life in this world. If you can't deal with it you shouldn't be in the industry. By being a celebrity you'll have to face criticism on social media and etc.
