I would support directing a portion of money to students who are in trade schools and programs to help them out just as much as college students. I would support this because college students are priveleged to these benefits while kids who are going into the work force aren't. Everyone deserves a fair amount of help and opportunities this country provides and despite the scholarships, some people will not have enough money to attend university. A little pension of money should go towards everyone.
Stores and gas stations should not be allowed to carry cold beers. This is because it could increase the amount of drunk drivers, people want cold beer when it's cold not cold then warm, and the liquor stores could lose there money.
Tax dollars paying for post-high school career and technical education programs:
We should support directing a portion of our funds to scholarships for post-high school career and technical education programs because those students work hard in school like the students who receive scholarships. As long as these students keep up their grades and stay out of trouble, they should be given the same opportunity as everyone else. College isn't fit for every student but those students need to be gifted a fair shot at a successful future.
I believe Hoosiers who are legally permitted to possess a handgun should be able to carry a handgun in public without first applying for and obtaining a state issued license. This proposal is often referred to as “constitutional carry.” In the constitution it states that we have the right bare arms. If this amendment was already passed why would we need to buy a license? Also, this discriminates towards poor people. Low income people wouldn't be able to afford $120 to get a license; therefore, its unfair for them not be able to protect themselves when high income people can.
Rather than spending thousands and thousands of dollars on someone who overdosed by providing for all of their living arrangements making them live better than myself I believe we should administer a retina data file. With the proper funding, that would otherwise be used as lunch money for n overdose victim, we could further advance the already existing technology to identify the overdosed person. If they have a criminal past and are known for overdosing then they have made their decision. They know what they are doing and they know how to get help. At this point we are putting thousands of dollars in narcan, ambulance bills, and hospital bills just for them to repeat the same process. If the new scan comes back as a first time offender then it would be okay to use the narcan at the cost of a strike on their profile. At 3 strikes they have hit their limit of narcan and are advised to go to a rehabilitation center at their own choice. If they choose to go down the same road then that is on them. They've made their own decision to put themselves in danger.
I believe that hoosiers should not be allowed to carry a handgun without the proper license. I think this because if anyone can carry a gun without proper licensing then there could be many possible crimes commetted because without proper backround checking. you should have to buy a license because you have to go through backround checks to buy the license making it safer for others.
Hoosiers who are legally able to possess a handgun should still have to get a state issued license. They do it because of background checks to make sure people are mentally able to carry. It may be a constitutional right to be able carry without a license but having these background checks are making it safer. It may cost $125 for such a license but if you aren't able to buy this license then maybe you shouldn't have a gun.
Topic = handgun
I believe we do not need to pay a $125 bill just to protect ourselves the problem with today's age is we no longer follow the Constitution and it is misunderstood why should someone go through a test just to defend themselves from evil people
