The code of chivalry has been shown to young men for ages, even in the modern era. But, in this day and age, some of them have been lost over time. So, what should be done now is respecting your mate, courting your mate, treat your mate as an equal and not like they’re helpless, accommodate them if they have problems, and be by them through anything. Being respectful shows that you admire who you’re with, and it helps with presenting that your mate is not defenseless or weak in any way. Courting them through the entire relationship is important, because your faithfulness shows through pondering on the future and helps it grow. But also having trust in one another, being there, and so on are starting to fade from society which is from most people not wanting to hash out certain situations or just having so many trust issues that they get overwhelmed, so being there for each other would make it drastically better in the end for both sides and the future ahead
4- You had very good details, and strongly supported and backed up your answer and thought. You answered the question strongly, but you could advance your vocab to be a little stronger.
4- Answered the question with strong support. You could however try and extend your vocabulary.
1. Treat your spouse the way you wanna be treated
2. Tell the truth to your spouse
3. Make your spouse happy
They are valuable because if you treat them the way you wanna be treated it will make a better relationship. What is meant by that is if you want your spouse to treat you with respect and kindness, you need to treat them with respect and kindness. Always tell your spouse the truth, even if it's gonna hurt them. They will appreciate you telling the truth and not lying to them or hiding something. If you make your spouse happy it will make your life much easier and less stressful.
3- supported your answer well with your own thoughts and beliefs, maybe add a little more detail to your writing and thoughts.
3- Is answered and support. Could be more descriptive with an improved vocabulary.
Chivalry has been around for years and years. The parts of chivalry that should be used today includes respecting your lover, doing generous deeds for others, and treating your loved one as an equal, not as the weaker individual. Trust is a huge factor in this too because if you do not have trust then there is no relationship. If a man has all of these qualities then that shows his faithfulness and true love for his spouse.
3- You answered the question well, and had strong thoughts and good vocabulary. Maybe add a little more detail or more of your thoughts.
3- Great ideas and support to go with it, but needs more details.
1)Every lover regularly turns pale in the presence of his beloved. Man or women gets excited in the presence of their lover.
2) Nothing forbids on woman being loved by two men or one man by two woman. A relationship should be two people
3)Every act of a lover end in the thought of his beloved. Your thoughts should be about food.
There are many new rights in the modern world. People are coming out about their sexuality. More and more people are talking about rights. When rights change about marriage, love will change too.
3- You answered the question well and used strong vocabulary words, but you could add a little more details to the new rights in the modern world.
Answered the question well. However could use more support.
In essence, the Art of Courtly Love from medieval times is about how a man should treat and feel about women and the suffering a life devoid of love can bring. However, some of the points could be updated.
1. With the exception of people who participate in polyamory and the like, it should be required for men to remain loyal in their marriage.
2. Jealousy can harm a relationship more than help it if you let it get out of control.
3. When a lover dies, take all the time you need to move on. Grief has no timer.
In today's society, marriages are much more than just legally binding - it also binds two people by their trust in each other. Cheating on a lover can be a massive breach of trust. It can damage a person for life. If you really love someone, you'd never want to hurt them that badly. Jealousy is another very dangerous thing for a relationship. It may make you controlling and overprotective of a loved one, to the point where they feel as though they do not have their own free will. Being with you might feel more like a prison for them then. If you happen to encounter insecurities during a relationship while watching your lover mingle with others, talk it out with them. Real love will lead them to console you. Lastly, it is not uncommon nowadays for people to take many, many years to cope with the death of a spouse. Grief can make it hard to invest your trust in another, so it should not have a "time limit" - take the time you need to let yourself open up to love again or it will lead to unhappiness.
4- You supported your answer very well and used good constabulary. You also did a good job adding in your own thoughts.
4- Answered the question with own thoughts and support. Great vocabulary choices as well.
I found the code of chivalry was very interesting.
1.) Have your friends back (10.)
2.) Respect all women (15.)
3.) Commit actions that will benefit the welfare of all (8.)
These three tenants are key because it's what our society has lost sight of. Nowadays there are too many fake people who claim to have their "friends" backs but never do. It also seems that our attitude towards women should needs to be worked on due to how many domestic violence charges our communities see in the papers and on the news. Doing good for others has clearly slipped the minds of several people. There are countless times that we've seen someone's car broken on the side of the road and didn't eve think to stop and help, including myself.
4- You used good details and supported your answer thoroughly. You also used good vocabulary to make your paragraph stronger.
4- Supports evidence with real world problems. Could use better vocabulary on some words.
1. To protect the weak and defenseless
2. To fight for the welfare or wellness of all
3. Always tell the truth
These three codes of chivalry are still very valuable in today's world. I chose the three that still play a role in many people's everyday life. Protecting the weak and defenseless is more along the line of bullying in modern day communities. If you see someone getting bullied or pushed around then you need to stand up for them. The second code I picked was to fight for the wellness of all. Bullying is another topic that can go with this. If you see someone getting mistreated then you should try and help in any way that you can. The third point I selected was always telling the truth. Most of us were taught this at a very young age by our parents and teachers, but it still is very useful even as an adult. There are many more points that stand out in both of these codes, however these are the few that stood out to me as being useful in our modern era.
4- Supported answer very well and had good clear thoughts. You used your own thoughts which helped make the paragraph stronger. Could use some stronger vocabulary.
4- Great support using real world problems. Vocabulary could be worked on.
Code of Chivalry
1. To respect everyone
2. to keep to a course through everything before you
3. To help those who cannot help themselves
For my choice of the first tenet, I chose "to respect everyone,as it both is important, but also a key to understanding other people. For my second tenet of the Modern code of Chivalry, I said that it would be " to keep a course through all before you." I chose this one because I have seen many people just give up on something they could do easily if they even tried. For my third new tenet,i chose "to help those who cannot help themselves" as I have also seen many people just walk
3- You did good with giving your reasons of why you chose what you chose, and backing up your thoughts. A little stronger vocab would make this a stronger paragraph.
3- Answered the question, but needs more support.
The code of Chivalry are in need of an update, so here are 3 modern tenets of Chivalry.
1.Help anyone who is truly in need.
2.Be respectful to everyone that is respectful to you.
3.Never use your power or influence for personal gain.
You need to help someone who is truly in need because anyone who is in a bad spot and needs some help, should be given some, even if it is a shoulder to cry on, or talking someone away from jumping off of a building, or even helping someone who is trapped, if they are truly in need, it is your duty to help them. You need to give respect to the people that have earned your respect because those people are genuinely people that can help you in a time of need if you need help, and if you are respectful towards them, they can feel the same way about you. Finally, you should never use your power for personal gain because you would be selfish for doing that and that will not help you in the future where you could be put in an area where your influence does not mean anything and you do not know how to get out of that situation because you were not prepared for it. That is what some of the tenets would be in a modern code of Chivalry.
4- Great answer and support. However sentences run on a little long and could use stronger vocabulary.
1. To follow the laws created by officials.
2. To fight for your country.
3. To always respect your elders.
These traits are valued today because in today's age, society doesn't respect our country enough and it is showing affects all over the US.
3- Answered the question, but needs support.
1.) You cannot love two people at once
2.) It isn't okay to love a woman or man if you don't plan on going further with her or him
3.) Someone who's truly in love considers how his/her partner's feelings before doing particular things
A relationship consists of many things, such as loyalty and genuine care for the other person. These three modernized "rules" for love are what most people expect in a relationship. Loyalty, one cannot love two people at once. Nobody wants to get into a relationship with someone who loves multiple people that aren't just friends or family. Also, the majority of people don't like being lead on. Most people date to marry, so if that's not what you're there for than it's just not gonna work. Last, but not least, we have to respect how our partner feels towards what we do. If you're doing things that you know upsets your partner than you're deliberately hurting their feelings. You don't purposely hurt the person you love, that's makes them question if the love is real.
4- Your paragraph was very well supported and had good details, could use some stronger language, but over all good, clear, and thought out.
4- Supports and answers the question. Clear writting, but could have better vocabulary.
The Art of Courtly Love, I found interesting because there are some very outdated rules that they followed back then, but there are also some rules on this list that are followed today and are mostly expected when you're in a relationship.
1. Someone in a relationship should not want the love of anyone except the person they are in a relationship with.
2. Jealousy should increase when someone suspects that their significant other is cheating.
3. When a relationship is announced to people outside of the relationship, the relationship almost never survives.
When I say that no person should seek love from outside the relationship, that still applies to today because nobody in a relationship today wants their significant other seeking love elsewhere. Also what happens today is that usually when someone in the relationship is suspected of cheating, the other person gets mad and jealous. When the relationship is made public that relationship rarely survives because everyone has an opinion on the relationship or your significant other.
4- Your passage had clear thoughts and was well supported with strong language and your own personal thoughts.
4- Clear support, and strong language.
The Art of Courtly Love should be modernized for todays era so there's a basic understanding of love. Three rules that show you are truly in love are, you shouldn't love any women who you would be embarrased to marry, no one can truly love 2 women at once, and a true lover doesn't desire to love anyone besides his beloved. These three statements of love show that if one truly loves a women, he doesn't love any other woman the same way. Also these defend that if one is ashamed to marry their lover, then it is not proper and shouldn't result in love.
4- Supported your paragraph good and answered the question clearly with good vocabulary.
4- Great vocabulary, but could use more support.
The art of courtly love can be refined and could be very helpful today. A man or woman cannot have multiple lovers. A true lover should put his/her companion before themselves. A true lover doesn't seek out the love of anyone else. These three points are important to courtly love because it ensures that the love between the couple is real and that they are loyal to one another. The couple should be able to trust one another in order to develop a better relationship between the two. Putting the other before yourself is also a great gesture of respect towards one another.
4- Had good clear thoughts and supported your paragraph good, could use some stronger vocabulary.
4- Supports evidence while answering the question. Vocabulary could be worked on.
The rules of courtly love still applies today in some sense. The code of "No one can love unless he is propelled by the persuasion of love." Still holds strong in the modern times. No one can love unless they want to, or are interested in. "Good character alone makes any man worthy of love." When it comes to love, good character is what makes those loved. People don't want those who make them feel worthless. Society wants someone to make them feel worth it.
However when modernizing the rules one would be the law of "Jealousy increases when one suspects his beloved." Shouldn't be a law at all. Ill will shouldn't be suspected of someone's parnter. If they are wanting to spend their life with them, they should feel comfortabe. They should know their parnter isn't going to cheat on them. Next the law of "A true lover considers nothing good except what he thinks will please his beloved." Lovers shouldn't constantly be worried about pleasing each other. Individuals need to worry about themselves and their needs. Constant thoughts about how it is needed to please the other is just unhealthy. Keep the good character and propelling of love, but not the constant thoughts and jealousy.
4- You had strong vocabulary and your paragraph was well thought out and supported your thoughts well.
Love is a strong word to some, but others just use it like they're using toilet-paper. Personally, Love is a touchy word in my vocab. To love someone is to hold them dear no matter what the circumstances. Now if we're talking sibling love, you got to show some tough love. Now being with someone is a whole different ball game. Plenty of people see love as dating someone for a month and then proceeding to have sexual intercourse. That's not what Love is. Love is Pure, It's supposed to be one of the most meaningful words you ever use.
3- Added your own thoughts which allowed the reader to connect with your paragraph, but could use some stronger vocab.
3- Didn't really answer the question. You have good support if you could cite what points you are exactly talking about.
The form of courtly love should have three main rules. The first one being truthful. Number two would be to seek marriage. Lastly would be to care and not control that person. These three rules would be something important to follow when seeking love. Always telling the truth and never lying or cheating is a very important part of a relationship. The second rule is an obvious but important one, if you are dating at an older age but aren't seeking marriage you should not be dating someone and wasting their time. The third rule is to always love and care about that person. Never fall out on them and go behind their back. Never control them to doing something they aren't comfortable with. Love can be the best or worst thing that ever happens to you and make you do crazy things.
4- Answered the question clearly and and had good support to back up your thoughts. Could use some stronger vocabulary, but overall good clear paragraph.
4- Answers the question and supports views. However you could work on your vocabulary and sentences.
The code of Chivalry has been used throughout the years since earlier years. But should that code change to fit the modern era? The code of chivalry should adapt to fit the standards of people today. The old chivalry had a 2 year requirement to wait after a lover died to move on, that should modernize so people will be able to move on whenever they want (how early they want) . Old chivalry also says "a true lover does not desire to embrace in love anyone except his beloved", that should modernize because some people love without the intention of marrying. And the old code of chivalry "a man who is vexed by too much passion usually does not love", this should modernize because men are able to be as passionate as they want and still be able to love someone.
4- Clear support, but could use work on stronger grammer.
1. To protect the weak and defenseless
2. To obey those placed in authority
3. To respect the honor of women
I believe these should all stay the same as one, it is still important to protect the people that can not defend there selves. Two is still very important as you should always obey the person above you, from teachers, to law enforcement, to parents. Lastly is three, where you should respect the honor of women in saying no or refusing to do something, you shouldn't harass them all the time.
3- You answered the question well, but could use more support. Needs stronger vocabulary and better grammer.
4- you supported your answer with good thoughts, and a clear view. You also had some good language that made it stronger.
1. You should not love a women who you wouldn't marry.
2. Love is always a stranger in a home full of greed for wealth.
3. Someone truly in love shouldn't embrace anyone else.
To tell a significant other that you love them if you don´t is leading them on to think there is something when there´s not. If you could not see yourself having a future with a person it is unfair to them for you to make that commitment. With a similar unfairness, it isn't right for one to seek love for wealth. When you are with someone for their money and tell them its for love it is lying in a similar way as saying you love them without seeing a future. To love someone and be devoted to them should be sacred in any relationship. Without total devotion to your spouse your mind is open to embracing somebody outside of the marriage, which is not only dishonest, but it is also hurting someone that may be completely devoted to you.
4- Strong support, and overall a solid response.
4- You had good supporting facts, and many details that added to the depth of your writing. You also had some good vocabulary to make it a stronger writing.
1. help anyone in need
2.be honest with everyone
3.to give respect to all
The first one comes from line 3 in the Knight´s Code of Chivalry were it say´s ¨to protect the weak and defenseless¨, in today's world it more stands with emergency services when they get a call or see that someone needs help they stop what they are doing and help them. The second one comes from line 13 were it talks about being truthful at all times. Today that´s not really how most people feel with everything that seems to happen now in society, but their are people out their that still are being honest with most everyone and that´s the way it really should be. Now the finale one umber 3 on the list comes from line 15 in the Knight´s Code of Chivalry.
4- You supported your writing with evidence from the passage, and supported your own thoughts good. You could add in some stronger language, but overall well written and supported.
4- Uses real life examples as support, but could work on a stronger vocabulary.
Code of Chivalry
3. To protect the weak and defenseless
to protect all and fight for them no matter what
9. To obey those placed in authority
to show respect all who have an important title
10. To guard the honor of fellow knights
to protect and honor all
These traits are valuable in today's society because we need to be showing a receiving protection and respect. One of the more important rules of the code, "to protect the weak and defenseless" is a rule society should be following by trying to help those in need and who could use a helping hand. Obeying and respecting authority is an important Code of Chivalry rule because those in charge help fight for and educate others and they deserve everyone's respect. Guarding and honoring is more than just about knights. It is for honoring and protecting people such as your family and friends. These three important rules should be followed in today's society because they have to do today as well.
4- You did a good job supporting your answer with quotes from the passage and your own personal thoughts. You also had good language which helped make your writing stronger.
4- Strong answer and support. Examples really helped convey your opinion well.
1. To obey those placed in authority.
2. At all times to speak the truth.
3. To protect the weak and defenseless.
1. To follow and respect the orders given to you from law enforcement and other authority figures.
2. Do not lie or say something untruthful.
3. Maintain and protect the weak and defenseless, ex. government programs for the less-fortunate.
These are all examples of codes of chivalry that can be modernized and still maintain relevancy in today's society. These codes are things that we must follow in order to maintain peace and have law and order.
3- Answered the question well, could use some evidence from passage or some more of your own thoughts about the topic.
3- You need more support to back up your answer. Examples from real life or text can help.
1. Show that you love them not matter what
2. If you truly love your partner you should not be intimate with any other female
3. Jealousy should be an aspect on you significant other if you think that they are cheating
These traits are valuable in today society because without these three things today there really wouldn't be love in this society, or they would be loving the wrong way and there wouldn't really be such thing; as true love. It would be more of an act than the truth.
3- Supported well but could use some evidence from the passage or more of your own personal thoughts. You had some good language that helped make it stronger.
3- You have great support, but it could be stronger with something to back it up.
The code of love definitely deserves an overhaul in order to be fit for modern times. The following are rules that should be considered for a modernized code of love.
1. If one truly loves someone, their love shall never fade.
2. When one lover dies, the widow is allowed to find another partner whenever they see fit.
3. If love diminishes for a time, one shall not give up hope.
These modernized versions of medieval laws of love support a more current style of love. Rule one was revised because love should never increase and decrease rapidly, if you love someone it should remain the same no matter what. Rule two was revised because a widow should not be denied a partner after the death of their loved one. It should be their choice when they are ready for a new partner. Rule three was revised because one should never give up hope on love if it starts to diminish. Retaining that hope is a true example of love.
4- You had good language which allowed your writing to be stronger, and also supported it well by adding details and your own thought.
Strong answer and language.
1.A true lover does not desire to embrace in love anyone except his beloved means that you can not love anyone else except the person you are with.
2.No one should be deprived of love without the very best reasons. No one should not have love unless they have a actual reason not to be.
3.No one can be bound by a double love meaning do not cheat.
I think that a majority of the art of courtly love is still accurate. So do not cheat and you only love your one person is the one thing that i belive in the most.It shows what it should be like when you are actually in love.
3- Using evidence from the passage or more of your own thoughts will help create a stronger writing, but overall you portrayed your thought clearly.
3- Could be stronger with some support to your opinion. Examples from text and real life can make it stronger. Thoughts are well shown.
The code of courtly love should be updated.
1. You should love the person that you are with romantically.
2. Everyone deserves love.
3. Love is not ownership.
These updated three rules serve to make courtly love more accessible to modern society. Loving the person you are romantically involved with is an obvious rule. It helps prevent confusion and strain on a relationship. Everyone should know that they deserve love. Not everyone thinks that they deserve love anymore and it causes low self esteem and pain. Lastly, love is not ownership. In the old days of courtly love, if you were a man, you treated your wife like property. This doesn't hold up in the modern world. People are now more independent and require more space.
4- You used your own thoughts to portray your writing clear and used good language which allowed your writing to be stronger.
4- Strong words and written well. Your opinion is clear with great vocabulary.
1.) To fear go d and maintain his church
2.) To protect the weak and the defenseless
3.)To obey those placed in authority
I believe that these three are the most relevant for today. For the first one I believe that God plays a big role in relationships. I feel that everyone has a type of religion in their relationships. Secondly I feel as we protect the weak by government and by additional help. That we give them addition resources. To help those you love and who need help. Finally to obey those in uniform. I feel that people have respect for them and gives them honor for what they do. I feel that we do have respect for out authority, we have God in our lives and relationships, and we do defined those who are weak and need additional help.
4- Your thoughts helped back up your writing and made it stronger. You also used good language which helped make it a stronger writing too.
4- You make your opinion very clear. The support used helps back up your statements as well.
